Step 1
Avoid products containing alcohol. Alcohol makes you look older, and does not have anti-aging effects. Specifically for men as well, a lot of after shaves contain alcohol. Well certain products that contain isopropyl, ethanol, and ethyl alcohol should be avoided. Alcohol tends to dry the skin out.
Step 2
Choose antibacterial facial cleanser's. It is best to have an antibacterial facial cleanser. Some products might say "antibacterial" cleanser, but see specifically the ingredients in the facial cleanser. Benzoly peroxide, tea tree oil, and honey are a few examples of ingredients that are antibacterial cleansers. Research each ingredients, and the side effects. For example, tea tree oil can be sensitive for those with allergies. Benzoly peroxide helps clear up acne, but has been known to dry skin and cause irritation. Research the ingredients, not the product brand.
Step 3
Choose a facial cleanser with the right ingredients. There are a lot of ingredients beneficial to the skin out there. For example, shea butter is a good ingredient in facial cleansers. Shea butter reduces itchy skin, skin cracks, irritation to the skin, dry skin, eczema skin conditions, blemishes and wrinkles. It can give your skin a nice tone and complexion. Another good ingredient is avocado. Avocado contains a good source of vitamin E in it. Vitamin E helps protect your skin, and has anti-aging effects to the skin. It also has a rich source of vitamin C in it. You'll find a good source of potassium in avocado as well. Honey is a another natural ingredient. You make your own facial cleansers with these ingredients. Honey reduces wrinkles, acne, and doesn't cause irritation to the skin. Honey mixed with almond oil, and a bit of lemon oil, along with vitamin E oil makes for a perfect facial cleanser.
Step 4
Choose a facial cleanser determine on skin condition. It depends on the skin condition. For example, if you have oily skin or dry skin. Or if you just have extremely sensitive skin. You don't want products that won't cause inflammation to the skin, and redness. Some products will dry you skin out even more. For dry skin, honey, olive oil, vitamin E, virgin coconut oil, cocoa butter, olive oil, avocado, aloe vera and shea butter are good and safe ingredients. They won't cause irritation to the skin and will help treat dry skin. Avoid alcohol, or peroxide, since those products dry out the skin. To tell if you have dry skin, your skin will be flaky and rough. It will not have a smooth feel at all.
Oily skin literally looks oily. For example, after you clean your face it will appear quite shiny. Men typically have oily skin. Honey and lemon juice seem to be a great way to treat oily skin. Getting more zinc into you diet, along with using products containing vitamin B5 can help reduce oily skin.
